Bought as a lease return in 1996, had exactly 30,000 miles on it, and was like brand new in terms of paint and condition. Now has over 430,000 miles. Just keeps going. Change the timing belt every 100k, change clutch about every 130k, change oil and filter every 3k to 5k with Castrol 10w40. BFG AT 31x10.5's last about 50-60k. Good clearance and wheelbase for 4wheelin', Exterior is mostly metal, so no plastic to get destroyed when out wheelin'. Will get 20 mpg on real gas, gets about 16-18 mpg on the ethanol garbage they make us buy these days.

A totally RELIABLE and functional vehicle. ONLY costs have been for normal maintenance, and normal wear and tear items. Not a 4x4, despite Alaskan winters; however plus side to that is INCREDIBLE MILEAGE for a 3/4 ton weight capacity truck.
    • Great pickup for 1-2 person activities

Absolutely a great truck for 1-2 to ride around it. It goes everywhere, never quits, takes tons of abuse and it's fun to drive. However, the back seat is way to small for anything besides small children. I've done a long road trip with 4-college guys in it but I have to say that it wasn't a fun ride. The best part is that ever when something goes wrong with it it's usually still able to get you safely home and to the repair shop. I can't stress enough how much I love this truck. The only thing that could make it better would be if it was the diesel version available over sees. You Tube Top Gear Killing a toyota to see what I mean.
